who wanted to combine forces and cross-train together under one roof, while still retaining their individual identities and that of the arts they taught.

It was their intention to train in practical self protection methods while still keeping their traditional roots.

The four founding instructors, Rob Killen, Tony Deadman, Sean Havoc and Mark 'Sav' Savill, had all trained together in various martial arts and styles for a considerable  number  of  years.   They were  later  joined  by  Martin    Ward,

an instructor at Harlows Ch`ien Shou Wu Shu.

Systems studied included Karate, Ju-jitsu, Thai boxing, Kick boxing, various Kung-fu forms, Aikido, Aiki-jutsu, Ken-jutsu, Ninpo Tai-jutsu and various systems of Close Quarter Combat. In addition to this, they also trained together at C.O.D.A.

Looking ahead

Although training at the two main TRAUMA clubs was put on hold in 2004 (due to time restrictions from the workload of CODA projects), planning has now begun for new projects under the TRAUMA banner, including the continuation of the popular TRAUMA Clinic seminars. More details will follow.
